Small town USA

Called it a night (Sunday) in the Smithville MS. Marina.
Very small, reminds me more of the old Princeton Marina.

Nothing here but showers and fuel.
Very nice welcoming committee there to greet us.

Owner gave us the keys to the courtesy car.  This was a 4 door Cutlass Sierra, older model.
No restaurants open so Jody and I went in town to the only place open for groceries...Dollar General.
We felt just like "Thelma and Louise"..
The post office is inside the convenient store.

The day consisted of 4 Lock and Dam's.  These are much like what we are use to in the QC.
Spent the majority of the day enjoying the Mississippi (state) scenery from the fly bridge.

Made it to the Pirate Marina Cove in Pickensville AL. for the night.
Again, small town USA
Another courtesy van where we all piled in to get a bite to eat and add to the liquid provisions.
