July 19th the journey begins...... at least that's what we're calling it.
8 Friends decide on a Huck Finn "adventure" style vacation.
Old house boat purchased. Repairs made throughout the Winter of 2014.
Date planned to bring her down from Guttenberg, IA. Flooding on the Mississippi caused this to be delayed for weeks.
Weather cleared, waters receded and 14 of us gathered for the "maiden voyage".
10 hours and a 113 miles later....boats still afloat. Or as one particular Sea Captain would say
"It's all good".
September 12,2014 will begin our "Adventure".
